Nervousness is a state of anxiety that arises in response to a perceived threat.
An alarm system goes off: a worry that something will go wrong?
But, it’s not the alarm that is the problem. It’s how you react to it.
More often than not, you panic, give up your power, and believe you’re bad.
What if you acknowledge the nervousness, stand up to it, and trust yourself.
Stepping out of your comfort zone, can trigger nervousness too.
But, you can do one of two things:
you can either think “Oh no, I’m out of my comfort zone; I should feel nervous.”
or you can think “Good for me, I’m out of my comfort zone; I should feel proud.”
Therefore nervousness comes down to your choosing the wrong thought.
Nervousness is actually trying to protect you. Theoretically, if you are alerted something might go wrong you can be one step ahead of it. But when you focus on something going wrong you invite it to and that exacerbates your nervousness.
